Since it was set up, in 1995, the European Royal Residences Network has developed a wide range of joint actions.
The Network is born from the statement that professional staff from royal residences have similar concerns. Thus, the exchange of information and good practices are necessary. To develop knowledge and conservation of their heritage, to guarantee that the quality and reception of all visitors is satisfactory, to ensure the protection of property and individuals, to develop their economic potential and resources … are some of the elements at stake and faced by the institutions running the palace-museums.
These activities and initiatives have focused on structuring the Network for the coming years and increasing its outreach, to both European heritage and cultural institutions as well as to the general public.
