‘Sharing Skills in Europe’ project (since 2008)
The ARRE members have built up a project of professional mobility Sharing Skills in Europe (SSE) supported by the European Leonardo da Vinci programme.
Sharing Skills in Europe gives royal residence staff members the possibility of working for a given duration (2 to 12 weeks) in another palace-museum belonging to the ARRE. This initiative is in line with the European context which promotes transnational mobility of cultural staff. It provides staff with the opportunity to gain an insight into the museological culture of the host country and helps to develop cooperation between European palace museums. SSE contributes to increasing staff members’ qualifications; to maintaining know-how in specialised technical areas, and to encouraging the transfer of experience and good practices.
