Technical Meeting, New Palace, Potsdam, Germany


The Potsdam technical meeting will be an opportunity for ARRE members' participants to discover the Friederisiko exhibition on Frederic the Great. They will learn in detail how the exhibition has been organised and what the expectations of the German colleagues are of this substantial event. Not only the content will be discussed, but the difficulty involved in organising a temporary exhibition in a palace: display cases, hygrometric conditions, security rules, scenography, technical aspects and visitor expectations…

Meeting “Versailles – Wilanów. An Exchange of Best Practices between the Royal Residences”

Hosted by the Académie Polonaise des Sciences – Centre Scientifique à Paris (the Polish Academy of Science in Paris), the meeting, "Versailles – Wilanów, an Exchange of Best Practices between Royal Residences" will deal with the knowledge and conservation of the sites and collections of these two European palace-museums. French and Polish professionals will each explain work being carried out in the scientific fields of archaeology and preventive conservation. They will present examples of the activities that have been developed around museum documentation and research in the current context of a digital culture.
